Summary
A stranger calling himself the journalist Shunsuke Ōtori arrives at a hotel near Jigokudani with a golden trunk, then vanishes in the night leaving it behind. Two crooks steal it but cannot open it, and lose their minds. The police contact the real Ōtori, who is not the man from the hotel.
