Personal data

This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from third-party sites. It only keeps the chosen theme and language in your browser (localStorage), and your opt-out from audience measurement if you choose it; these settings never leave your device. The “Report an error” form prepares an email in your own mail app: nothing is sent unless you send it.

The site measures its audience with its own tool, hosted on the same server. For each page viewed it records the address of the page, the site you came from, your browser’s language and time zone, the kind of device, browser and system, the screen width and the time spent on the page. Your IP address is never recorded: together with your browser, it is only used to compute an anonymous fingerprint that changes every day, so a visitor is not recognised from one day to the next. This data is used only for the site’s visit statistics, is passed on to no one and is deleted after 25 months. Cookieless, anonymous measurement of this kind needs no consent under the French data protection authority’s (CNIL) guidance on audience-measurement tools, so no banner asks for it. You can still opt out here; it is also turned off automatically when your browser sends the “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal.
